The Taylor Project have performed and recorded music since 2008, with an idiosyncratic and entertaining musical style that can be described as “folk music with factoids”. The band is built around twin sisters Liz and Sarah Taylor, who combine interests in history and geography with an appreciation of the humour and sadness found in folk music styles.

The band is built around twin sisters Liz and Sarah Taylor, who combine interests in history and geography with an appreciation of the humour and sadness found in folk music styles. They perform with guitar, violin, mandolin, and harmonies, supporting their richly story laden lyrics. As a trio, they are joined by Liz’s husband Andrew Bonnici on guitar and lap steel.

The Taylor Project have performed at many bars and pubs in Melbourne, at community events around their base in Elmore, and at the Bendigo Blues and Roots Festival, the Maldon Folk Festival, the Renaissance Festival, and the Bendigo Write on the Fringe Festival.
