RUBY JONES

SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Born and raised in Melbourne, Ruby Jones songwriting evokes images of a desolate American landscape merged with dreamlike narratives of heartbreak and redemption. Before embarking on her solo career she recorded and toured as a background vocalist for Clairy Browne & The Bangin Rackettes. It was in this group she met her songwriting partner lead guitarist, Jules Pascoe (Jazz Party, Husky, Jaala).

After the group disbanded in 2015 Ruby and Jules began writing songs drawing sonic influence from Mazzy Star, Angel Olsen and Fleetwood Mac. In 2017 they were joined by Selwyn Cozens on drums and Joel Loukes on bass who added to their gloomy garage rock sound.

The group are working on their debut album to recorded on an 1970s four track tape machine.
