Asking for Trouble is a multi-award winning company using circus, physical theatre and clown to make ambitious, high quality theatre that challenges audiences to be brave, generous and to play!

Founded by Christy Flaws and Luke O’Connor in 2008 and now based in Clunes, they have toured regionally, nationally and internationally to critical acclaim. In 2018 they premiered and toured ‘The Bottle Collector’ and directed a number of community projects including 'In the Deep End’ (a site specific circus/physical theatre show in around and above regional swimming pools) and ‘Too many Mirandas’ (a flash-mob dance inspired by the cult classic Picnic at Hanging Rock).

In their new show ‘Pick up sticks’ they jump, hop, skip and tumble while reimagining childhood games as circus routines. Allowing playground chaos to collide with an original sound score they expose moments of gentle clowning and vulnerability.

Expect serious silliness, rope, sticks, chalk and the occasional entertaining piece of rubbish.
